Overcoming evil with good. We have it and forgotten it. We have neglected it . How ? We have not meditated on it , not preached it , not applied it , not modelled to the extent it deserves to be .
" Bless them that curse you, and pray for your enemies. Fast on behalf of those that persecute you; for what thank is there if ye love them that love you? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? But do ye love them that hate you, and ye will not have an enemy." - The Didache
The Didache is the teaching of the Apostles to the gentiles.
Here is what their master actually taught them.

Let us repent of our neglect and let us submit to the commands of Christ.
