Romans 9 : Clarification 4 - ?Objects of wrath/Objects of mercy?

22 What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? 23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— 24 even us(the church), whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

                                                                                                                     -----   Romans 9

The objects of wrath are the whole body of unbelievers both Jews and Gentiles . The Objects of mercy are the whole body of believers , the Church , who have received God's mercy. God in his foreknowledge knowing that there will two types of people , the ones who trust him and the ones who don't , has designed things in such a way that he uses the whole body of  unbeleivers to reveal some character of himself to the
believers . He uses the unbeleivers to show his patience in delaying the judgement they deserve thus revealing his goodness, patience and justice to those who have submitted to his mercy.

Who are the "objects of wrath" and the "objects of mercy"?

First we must understand that these two categories form two groups . First group is made up of objects of wrath . God chose that group for destruction , though he did not choose who all will be in that group. Second group are the objects of mercy. God chose this group for glory , though he did not determine or particularly choose each and every member of the  group.

Understanding the relationship between God's kindness and repentance
In Romans 2 , Paul writes ,

"Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed."    (Romans 2:4,5)
These are the "objects of wrath" , people who resist the kindness of God which leads to repentance.
The "objects of his mercy" are those who received the kindness of God which leads to repentance. These come from both Jews and Gentiles and form the Church Universal , the bride of Christ , prepared in advance for glory.

God in his foreknowledge knowing that there will be people who will receive his mercy ,instituted  the church and chose them , elected them to be his people , his ambassadors to bring others who also would believe and share the Gospel to those who he knew will reject his offer. These people receive or reject God's mercy extended to mankind , the Gospel of Christ ,by their own free will .  God's foreknowledge is not the same as his foreordination. The fact that he knows what people will choose in response to his mercy does not mean that he is the one making them receive or reject the Gospel. He does not because , he wants everyone to come to repentance.

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9

"who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." - 1 Timothy 2:4

Contrary  what the calvinists would have you believe ,  scripture is very clear as to what God's intention is , will is , "Salvation for all mankind". God is love.
